Here's a song that lately I've been hearing every Saturday afternoon on KCRW. The song is entitled "Boom" and it is by a new artist named Anjulie. A little bit on Anjulie; She was born to immigrant parents from Guyana and grew up in Toronto, Canada. Anjulie has been singing and writing music since she was a teenager. Taking vibes from 60's retro and fellow artists like, Amy Winehouse and Duffy, Anjulie writes and sings personal stories about her life, loves, obsessions, and heartbreaks in her music. Even though her full-length album won't be out until Spring 2009, a 3-song digital only EP, which includes "Boom", will be released on November 11.
